Sectors we know

Six sectors. Six completely different load shapes.

Solar design is load design. An irrigation account and a cold store both buy electricity and almost nothing else about them is comparable, which is why we specialise by sector rather than by equipment.

Interval data
San Joaquin Valley farmland with irrigation infrastructure

All industries

Agriculture and irrigation

Deep-well pumps, booster stations, shop loads and a bill that swings with the season.

Load shape
Heavy April to September, near zero in winter
Typical size
250 kW DC to 3 MW DC
Sector detail

Cold storage and packing

Refrigeration that never stops, plus a harvest peak that sets the year's demand charge.

Load shape
High and flat year-round, sharp peaks at harvest
Typical size
300 kW DC to 2 MW DC
Sector detail

Warehousing and distribution

Large roofs, modest loads and a fleet that is about to become electric.

Load shape
Moderate and shift-driven, rising with fleet charging
Typical size
400 kW DC to 2.5 MW DC
Sector detail

Schools and colleges

Summer construction windows, DSA review and shade where people actually stand.

Load shape
School-year weekdays, low summer, low weekends
Typical size
150 kW DC to 1.2 MW DC
Sector detail

Food and beverage processing

Process loads, air compressors and a crush season that rewrites the load shape.

Load shape
Steady base with an intense seasonal campaign
Typical size
400 kW DC to 3 MW DC

Tell us your sector and we will tell you the trap

Every one of these sectors has one design mistake that shows up again and again. We would rather name it before the proposal than explain it afterwards.
